Denver Presbyterian Medical Clinic
November 04, 2019
In October we hosted a visiting medical team from Denver Presbyterian Church who provided medical care for low-income families around the city of Addis Ababa.
With Denver Presbyterian Church’s help, we were able to host our very first clinic in the Ayat community using the compound of Mercy Reformed Church just for a day. Our team has been working toward building a relationship with the pastor and ministers of Mercy Reformed Church for the past few months, and the recent medical clinic gave us the opportunity to put our partnership into action. We were very encouraged by their effort in recruiting sick patients from their local community, and by their church members’ willingness to serve in prayer, logistics, and hospitality during the clinic. The team was able to serve around 80 patients each day of the clinic, most of whom were critically sick and in need of help.
We look forward to see how God will continue to bless this ongoing partnership in the months to come, and we are already laying the groundwork for another medical clinic in the Ayat community in January 2020.
