Medical Clinic Recap

March 29, 2019

Recently, Ethiopia ACT hosted a Baltimore based team of healthcare professionals for two weeks of medical clinics in the communities of Suki and Akaki Kality. In that time 974 patients received high quality medical care as each physician, nurse, and nurse practitioner took time to sit one-on-one with each patient while they listened to the reasons for their visit. During an Ethiopia ACT medical clinic, it’s important to note that there is no goal of seeing a high number of patients each day, but rather to know that each patient, however long it takes, receives the highest quality medical care possible. This is why we limit the number of patients each provider sees in a day.

This 10 day clinic was a great way to continue building relationships with local churches in the community (a couple days of clinic were hosting in church buildings) and to also build trusting relationships with members of the communities of Akaki Kality and Suki.

Take a look at some of our favorite pictures of the clinic!
